Every word you speak about someone else lands somewhere. Not on them. On you.
This isn't woo-woo. This is mechanics.
Think of your attention as currency. Finite. Non-renewable within a given day. When you spend twenty minutes dissecting someone's failures over drinks, you just burned twenty minutes of creative fuel on a person you claim not to respect. You funded them with your life force. Congratulations.
The Metaphysics Are Simple
There's an old Hermetic idea β the principle of correspondence. "As above, so below." What you project outward reflects inward. The trash you talk isn't traveling in a straight line toward its target. It's boomeranging. It's settling into your nervous system like sediment in still water.
You talk about someone being lazy? Now your subconscious is running the word "lazy" on loop. Guess what quality starts showing up in your own week.
You mock someone's ambition? You just told your own psyche that ambition is mockable. Watch how quickly you stop reaching.
This is not karma. This is pattern recognition. Your brain doesn't distinguish between the judgments you aim at others and the ones you aim at yourself. It just absorbs the frequency.
Vitality Has a Leak
Guys wonder why they feel drained. Why the motivation evaporates midweek. They'll blame sleep, blame diet, blame the algorithm. They won't look at dumb comments where they spent twenty-five minutes drafting a post eviscerating a stranger on the internet.
That was the leak.
Your energy is not infinite. It's a reservoir. And every act of diminishing someone else punches a hole in the base of it. Small hole. Slow drip. But consistent.
The Fix Is Boring
Stop. That's it. Not because you're above it. Not because you're enlightened. Because you're selfish in the correct way. Because your words are spells (look up the etymology of "spelling" if you want your mind rearranged) and you refuse to cast them against your own interests.
Talk about what you're building. Talk about what fascinates you. Talk about nothing at all.
Silence is not passive. Silence is a man keeping his power exactly where it belongs.
